Florida HIV/AIDS Advocacy Network (FHAAN)

The Florida HIV/AIDS Advocacy Network (FHAAN) is a statewide effort comprised of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA’s), community advocates, HIV/AIDS and industry professionals, and anyone wanting to be involved to coordinate HIV advocacy efforts for all Floridians living with HIV and AIDS.

TAI's Florida Consortium for HIV/AIDS Research (FCHAR)

Mission:
The AIDS Institute's Florida Consortium for HIV/AIDS Research (FCHAR) was created to bring more HIV research resources to Florida and advance the body of knowledge about all aspects of HIV prevention, care and treatment.  The focus is on promoting and arranging inter-institutional and interdisciplinary collaboration on HIV research, including behavioral/epidemiologic studies, clinical trials and studies of basic science, virology and vaccine development.  FCHAR researchers represent 7 universities, the Florida Department of Health and 11 other research entities across the state, including those from the private sector.  Members account for more than 400 recent and ongoing HIV/AIDS research studies, as compiled in the group's Florida HIV/AIDS Research Inventory.

The AIDS Institute Urges President-Elect Trump to Maintain U.S. Commitment to End HIV/AIDS - World AIDS Day 2016

As the world pauses to mark World AIDS Day on December 1, 2016, The AIDS Institute sent a letter to President-elect Donald J. Trump urging him and his Administration to maintain U.S. leadership in the fight against HIV/AIDS, both domestically and globally.

House of Representatives Pass Bill to Take Away Insurance Coverage for Millions

We joined AIDS United, NASTAD, the National Council of STD Directors, and NMAC to condemn the House of Representatives for passing the American Health Care Act (AHCA). If enacted, the AHCA would take away insurance coverage for millions of Americans and end protections for people with pre-existing conditions. This bill is disastrous for people living with or at risk of HIV and STDs.

AIDS Alliance Observes National Youth HIV/AIDS Awareness Day 2017

In observance of National Youth HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NYHAAD), AIDS Alliance for Women, Infants, Children, Youth & Families (AIDS Alliance) joins Advocates for Youth in highlighting both the impact of the epidemic on young people and the contributions they have made in the fight against HIV/AIDS across the United States.
