HIV Vaccine Awareness Day

May 18th

May 18 is the annual observance of HIV Vaccine Awareness Day. The day is to recognize the work contributed by all members of the community to combat HIV/AIDS by aiming to create an effective vaccine for the disease. The lead organizations for the day are the Academy of Education Development and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease.

National Asian and Pacific Islander HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

May 19th

May 19 is the annual observance of the National Asian and Pacific Islander HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. The day was established by the Banyan Tree Project in 2005. Asian and Pacific Islander Wellness Center serves as the lead organization for this awareness day. As a part of the awareness day HIV/AIDS services are made available to the Asian and Pacific Islander Communities as a means of bringing awareness to the issue and reducing stigma.

Caribbean American HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

June 8th

June 8 is the annual observance of National Caribbean American HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. The goal of the day is to provide Caribbean-Americans the resources they need to reduce the spread of HIV; including health education, testing and the opportunities to get involved. This awareness day is however a part of a larger drive to get Caribbean-Americans more involved in their overall health. The lead organization for the day is the Caribbean People International Collective, Inc.

National HIV Testing Day

June 27th

June 27 is the annual observance of National HIV testing day. The day is coordinated by the National Association of people with AIDS. The goal of the day is encourage individuals to get tested. Early diagnosis of the disease is imperative to survival.

National Clinicians HIV/AIDS Testing and Awareness Day

July 21st

July 21 is the annual observance of National Clinicians HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. Doctors, nurses, and other clinicians play a vital role in providing access to HIV/AIDS awareness, testing, treatment, and referral services, and in encouraging patients to get tested for HIV.

World Hepatitis Day

July 28th

World Hepatitis Day is an annual event that each year provides international focus for patient groups and people living with hepatitis B and C. It is an opportunity around which interested groups can raise awareness and influence real change in disease prevention and access to testing and treatment.
